Tim | Managing Director
Tim has a decade of recruitment experience, and deep understanding of the permanent and on-hire recruitment landscapes.
Currently studying a Masters of Employment Relations, Tim draws on a Bachelor of Management (Human Resources) and unequaled expertise in regional end-to-end recruitment to help organisations hire the right people and realize their full potential.
Tim cares about the communities in which JK work, is passionate about positively impacting diversity and inclusion, hoping through JK he can impact these areas for the better.
Carl | Director
Carl moved to Ballarat from Melbourne and has lived in the region for 30+ years.
Carl has a Bachelor of Commerce from Federation University, as well as a number of qualifications in Financial Planning.
As a Director and co-owner responsible for finance and risk, Carl feels privileged to be part of a business that has so many talented and capable people.
Carl has ambitious goals for JK, so is looking forward to continued business success.
An avid Carlton supporter, Carl enjoys spending time with his family, Melbourne’s Spring racing and the odd round of golf.
Laura | Recruitment Manager
Born in Dublin, Laura moved to Australia in 2016 and leverages over a decade of local and international recruitment experience to manage the on-hire workforce needs of more than 30 organisations across regional Victoria.
With significant expertise in managing the unique demands of an on-hire workforce, Laura partners with clients to understand their needs and find high-quality talent that meets their current and future business objectives.
Laura has enjoyed the opportunity to grow with JK, the team culture and the individual empowerment she has felt through her work, to help businesses find the best employees.
Jess | Finance Coordinator
Having permanently moved to Australia in 2015 from Hong Kong, Jess brings 4 years accounting experience from Hong Kong and 3 years in Australia.
She thrives on working with numbers and as Finance Coordinator, Jess is responsible for payroll and accounts at JK.
Jess enjoys taking on a challenge and demonstrating her numerical, attention to detail and communication skills.
She believes her strengths are her ability to learn, collaborate and be patient and respectful.
When she is able, Jess enjoys travelling and wishes to make it to Japan, Vietnam and Greece in the future.
Sarah | Finance Manager
Sarah has a Graduate Diploma in Accounting, and returned to Ballarat in 2013, after working in accounts and payroll in Melbourne.
Sarah finds satisfaction in getting it right each and every week with an amazing team.
Sarah believes her work results at JK lie in a detailed focus, the ability to understand numbers, and an understanding of complex employment awards.
Sarah wants to continue building JK’s accounts department and believes JK’s strength centres on staff support and tailoring roles that challenge and develop the individual.

Alisha | Business & Operations Coordinator
With a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Alisha brings significant expertise across both on-hire and permanent recruitment processes.
Having been with JK for over 6 years, Alisha now moves into a quality, business systems and improvement role, focusing on ensuring JK adheres to its robust quality management system while also proactively seeking opportunities to improve and further develop the service we provide.

Evan Wailes | National Business Development Manager
Evan has worked across multiple fields in the sales and business development industry for over 10-years.
Evan manages JK’s new business across Geelong, Ballarat, Melbourne and Brisbane and intends to build on the success of the business and the strengths of the JK team through exciting new business opportunities.
Evan’s business strengths reside in his communication skills, attention to detail and an acute consideration for business clientele needs.
Growing up in Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs, Evan now lives in Geelong where he enjoys the regional sense of community, fishing and spending time with his family.
Jono | Organisational Development Consultant
Jono has a Bachelors of Applied Science in Psychology, a Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychology and a Masters of Organisational Psychology.
Jono has worked in the human capital consulting space for four years, and has a wealth of experience across learning and development, leadership development, organisational development and recruitment.
Jono was drawn to the industry by a desire to create positive workplace cultures that support growth, development and meaningful contribution.
Jono grew up in Victoria’s Yarra Valley and has a love of cooking, gardening and renovation.

Ange is qualified in administration and events management and has worked in the recruitment industry for over 5-years.

Ryan | Recruitment Consultant, MaxiTRANS
Ryan fell into the recruitment industry 7-years ago and hasn’t looked back.
He has lived in Ballarat for the past 7-years and is looking to further his education in the field of psychology.
He enjoy’s JK’s team culture and believes JK is a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages you to not only go the extra mile but think outside the box.
Ryan is responsible for providing labour-hire solutions and on-hire management for a key account in Ballarat. Ryan grew up in Portland, Victoria and enjoy’s gaming and music.
Jake | Temporary Recruitment
Born and raised in Ballarat, Jake is qualified in civil construction, concreting, pipe laying, and recruitment.
He was drawn to recruitment by the fast-paced nature of the industry, and he continues to enjoy the fact that every day is different. Jake believes his strength lies in his positivity, creativity and his ability to multi-task and problem solve.
Arlee | Business Support
Born and raised in Ballarat, Arlee is at the start of her career after completing year 12 in 2020 and is completing a certificate III in Business Administration with JK.
Arlee provides administration and reception support across JK’s branches.
She enjoys going to the gym, trying new foods and restaurants and is enthusiastic about gaining knowledge in the recruitment industry and within a professional environment.
Paige | Recruitment Consultant
Paige has a passion for business and people and is currently studying a Bachelor of Applied Management with a Major in Marketing.
Paige adds a wealth of experience to the JK team, from communication and administration skills to an ability to quickly pick up and run with new challenges.
Growing up in Auckland, Paige has lived in Australia for 3-years and enjoys cooking, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

With study in Business Management, and 3-years experience in the industry, Andrew has the ability to think on his feet and look beyond simply filling vacancies. He believes every business and candidate is different, so people and relationships really do matter.
